Hi,
I don't know of anything exactly as you specify but we have used a Buslink USB 2.0 40 Gb drive. It was easy to install and worked fine. We have transferred a large number of audio files from one machine to another with it. There is a 60 Gb version, I don't know if there is any bigger.

On the other hand, I have an Onstream ADR 30 Gb tape backup and although it works, the software tries to keep track of every file change and it slows the computer up. I wouldn't go that route again.

Other options to consider (but not tried by me) are -
1. Buying a removable hard disk cradle (£15 to £30) to turn an ordinary drive into a removable one (see e.g. www.cpc.co.uk).
2. Buying any USB or Firewire drive (if you have the interfaces). There are many available from the usual computer suppliers.

As for the copyright situation, I do not know what rights the payment of fees or the waiving thereof gives us. The copyright, designs and patents Act 1988 gives rights other than just financial e.g. the owner can object to 'derogatory treatment of a work' so that really neat talkover and humorous overlap that you are proud of may be best kept relatively quiet ;-)
